America was created by aliens.
Anyone who is in the United States of America and is not a US Citizen is called an alien,
you can be a legal alien (here on a temporary visa), illegal alien (Snuck across
the boarder).
While on an H1b Visa was considered a non resident alien for everything except taxes at which point they wanted my money so I was a resident alien. I pay Federal, State, Social Security, Medicare, Property Tax.
After getting my green card I am considered a Permanent Resident Alien and I have my own Alien Identification number of A#.
