Electric 4 seater bike
I am very tempted to by the electric bike at $400 x3 for the solar panels it almost sounds reasonable when you compare it to petrol.
I call bull shit on CSI miami
I was flipping the channel and came across CSI Miami, they just did a trace on an IP address and it came up 68.34.18.211, technically what the character said is correct, but the graphics are BS, I mean come on its a rip of the Matrix letters dropping in. Oh and the IP address is comcast in MD c-68-34-18-11.hsd1.md.comcast.net.
Talking of old stuff
I bought Chef series 1-3, Allo Allo series 1-6, Red Dwarf 7 & 8. I am justifying the cost of the DVD sets by the fact that amazon had them at 20-30% off and I don’t pay from cable and need something to watch while american over the air (OTA) sucks balls after recovering the writers strike.
Eastenders
It Amuses me no end when Sarah, one of my cats, comes and demands attention when the theme tune for Eastenders plays.
Don’t worry my mum makes fun of me every time she hears that I am watching Eastenders from 3-4? years ago. Anthony has just proposed Zoe and then she moved in with him. The shock, the scandal……
The Flowers are blooming in the garden
We helped kate move this morning, then came back and cut the grass. The lilandia ?? is blooming in the pergola. The Raspberries, Strawberries and blackberry pants seem to be doing well as well.
Pope’s Visit to Washington DC
One of the advantages of working downtown, I was able to see the procession of Pope Benedict XVI along Pennsylvania Ave today.
Photos from the metro
Still playing with the camera, these were from this morning on the metro, playing with a high iso and no flash so no to freak people out.
mmm need to work out how to rotate images before posting
Vuln in ClamAV
I should do some more reading on this, but I am amused by the US Cert comment at the end
ClamAV PE Scanning Vulnerability
added April 14, 2008 at 09:21 amUS-CERT is aware of a report of a buffer overflow vulnerability affecting ClamAV. This heap-based buffer overflow vulnerablity may allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code on an affected system.
US-CERT recommends that users do not scan PE files from untrusted sources.
Isn’t the hole point of running an av product to test for viruses in untrusted files?
Yikes!
The Washington Post has a story talking about a 6 year old kid who was reported for sexually harassing a first-grade classmate. He slapped her bum. The police were even called. Then you read
The Virginia Department of Education reported that 255 elementary students were suspended last year for offensive sexual touching, or “improper physical contact against a student.” In Maryland, 166 elementary school children were suspended last year for sexual harassment, including three preschoolers, 16 kindergartners and 22 first-graders, according to the State Department of Education. Statistics for the District were not available.
I mean 3 preschoolers and 16 kindergarten students where suspended. I understand that there extreme things that shouldn’t happen at school but kids need to learn how to interact with other kids and if they are constantly told that anything an adult preserves as sexual is wrong then we will grow up with a generation of kids who can’t interact with each other and form healthy relationships.
